Retired minister shot by young thief in West Chester
In West Chester Pennsylvania today 69 year old minister Rey Paris B Stauffer was shot in the abdomen with his own rifle by a young thief who warned of a holdup. Stauffer walked a quarter mile for help and remains critically wounded as Chester county authorities hunt the assailant. Stauffer had returned to his cabin at Dorlana last night and said he believed the warning was a joke. He had lived alone since 1928 and previously served churches in Steelab s Minersville and Frackville.

Commencement Exercises Held at Catholic High
The fifth annual Lebanon Catholic High commencement was held in St Marys auditorium on Wednesday night with Most Rev George Leech and Thomas A Logue as speakers. Twenty seven graduates received diplomas including posthumous honors for Amelia Martha Metro. Bishop Leech urged gratitude to parents priests and Sisters of St Joseph as graduates prepare to begin their lives.
