Gerlach Jr., served at Hickam Field and is now a bombardier trainer in Lake Charles.
Six year old Nicholas Bogner of Route 3 Lebanon was hit by a car driven by Grant Bressler of Orchard Avenue at 10th and Crowell Streets. He suffered contusions to his right foot and was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital after the child reportedly ran in front of the vehicle.
Capt James B Zengerle son of Mr and Mrs John C Zengerle of Annville is reported missing in action over France since May 25. He piloted a Flying Fortress named Tom Paine and prior to service worked at First National Bank and Lebanon High School graduate. His family awaits further word from the War Department.
Four persons were injured in a two car crash at a township road intersection about a half mile south of Hamlin. Cars driven by John Gettle of Myerstown and Ray Renan of Fredericksburg were involved. Passengers Hannah Billman Aaron Billman and June Gettle sustained various bruises and lacerations. Damage to the cars was about 150 dollars.
