The famous annual feast of Tulpehocken Trinity Reformed Church will take place Sunday afternoon June 12 at two o'clock. Rev J Donald Backenstose leads. program includes hymns, addresses, instrumental and vocal selections, and the presentation of roses to Charles B. J. Local Negro Receives Suspended Sentence in Gun Theft
Boyce Ballard, a local Black man, pleaded guilty to stealing a shotgun valued at about $45 from J. A. Orth on May 21. City Officer William Lynch recovered the gun near a coal yard. Ballard was placed on probation for a year with three months to pay costs after a suspended sentence.

Negro Pickpocket Pleads Guilty Here
Frank Baker and James Hicks were arrested at Sunset Market last Friday and Baker pleaded guilty before Judge Henry Sat morning. Baker claimed to be from Reading and later said he lived in Sta henville Ohio but was sent back to jail until criminal court next week. The district attorney and sheriff will seek his record. he is accused of stealing a wallet containing 45 dollars from J Avihvyr Roth ermel. Justice Donald Vanttie witnessed the theft and Baker’s initial story about finding the wallet shifted to a claim he had it. A fellow indicted co defendant is expected to stand trial next week. Constable Edw.mberger noted Baker allegedly passed the wallet to an accomplice who disposed of it when apprehended.

Suspended Sentence for Arthur Kantner in Hosiery Mill Case

Lebanon Valley College Trustees Hold Annual Session Friday
The Lebanon Valley College board of trustees met Friday morning. President J. K. Magte presided as Dr. Clyde Lynch reported sixth annual figures showing income of endowment 3956.18 tuition 98056.45 benevolences 6085.50 totaling 184948 with minor decreases and benevolence gains. Lynch urged more instructors and restored pay, while noting 807 full time and 96 conservators and 49 extension students. Committees were reappointed and two new ones planned: financial campaign and employes pension.

Samuel Fetter Fined in Lebanon Court Over Gambling Devices
Samuel Fetter of Schaeffers town pleaded guilty before Judge C V Henry to maintaining gambling devices including a nickel slot machine and punch boards. He had paid a prior fine last November. A $50 fine plus $14.70 costs was imposed, with a warning that repeat offense could lead to jail. Corporal L J Adams of the state highway patrol aided the arrest on May 30 and confiscation of the devices accompanied the sentence.
