Adam H. Miller, born January 10 1848 in North Lebanon, died at noon at his Maple Street home after a sudden illness. A founder of the Miller Organ Company with Abraham H. Miller, his workshop built organs that reached worldwide. Lebanon’s organ trade once centered on his factory employing sixty men. He leaves two daughters Mrs. Howard Strickler and Emma L. Miller.

Penrose N. Hoffer a longtime Fairland farmer died Wednesday evening at St. Josephs Hospital Lancaster after years of ill health. He was 68 years, 10 months and 28 days old. He leaves his wife Lizzie and nine children including Mrs. Oscar Bechman Fontana and Mrs. Harry Zellers Fontana along with siblings and relatives. He was a member of the United Christian Church and known for good citizenship and neighbors.
