Kirklin Men Fined On Booze Charges
Walter and Cecil Everman of Kirklin pleaded guilty in Squire Maker's court Noblesville to intoxication charges. Each case carried a $39.20 fine and costs, paid before release. Police say their machine on Range Line road caused a collision with a car driven by Ellis of Indianapolis.

Drake hotel bandits sentenced to death
Chicago, September 17. The Drake hotel bandits Joe Holmes and Jack Woods were found guilty of first degree murder for the July assault at the Drake hotel. The verdict came at 4:18 a.m. with no mercy recommendation. Five men entered the lobby. Rodkey, an assistant cashier, was killed. Two bandits died in a police shootout. two captured. one escaped. Mother of J. C. Ham's Mother Dies in Kentucky
Mrs. Sarah E. Ham mother of James C. Ham of this city died in Flemingsburg Kentucky on September 10 at age 86 years 7 months 24 days. Ham was away at her bedside two weeks ago.
