Richard Hill died at his home south of Zionsville after a long illness. He was born in Hicksford, Virginia, and moved to Marion county as a youth, married in 1856 to Catharine Kepple, and left four sons and two daughters. David Ottinger of Eagle Village died at 79 after nine weeks of illness, survived by five children and many grandchildren, with Lutheran church ties to Whitestown.
