City Schools Set Opening and Boundaries for Lebanon System

All Lebanon City Schools begin Monday September 14 with new grade boundaries. First through fourth years south of Central Indiana and Big Font railways attend the South building. others split among North Side and Central buildings. sixth year pupils remain in place. Old fifth year rooms stay together, and new space provides gym and manual training. Domestic science and books to buy at Central building. high school benches installed for sixth to first year students.

Purdue Opens with Record Freshmen Class in Lafayette

Purdue University began its term in Lafayette Indiana with a highly enthusiastic opening. The freshmen class will exceed last year by about 100 students and events in Fowler Memorial Hall were standing room only. Professor Waldo led the exercises at the close.

The meeting occurred via the Boone county fair premium awards which revealed Mackey's Big Springs address, prompting the brothers to travel to Lebanon where a joyful reunion is reported.

The Holiness church conference at Frankfort, after a period of sension, issued the year’s appointments. T. G. Wilford was assigned to Lebanon and Tharmtown, among others, as announced.

Notable deaths and funeral notices near Zionsville

Richard Hill died at his home south of Zionsville after a long illness. He was born in Hicksford, Virginia, and moved to Marion county as a youth, married in 1856 to Catharine Kepple, and left four sons and two daughters. David Ottinger of Eagle Village died at 79 after nine weeks of illness, survived by five children and many grandchildren, with Lutheran church ties to Whitestown. Mellette, one year old, died at home five miles east of town. funeral plans pending.

Wrights set aeroplane records at Fort Myer flights

Orville Wright completed three sensational flights at Fort Myer surpassing distance and time marks. Fish shipment arrives in Darlington amid poor condition

Fire at Huntington destroys mills and elevators

A blaze at the Knaudson on Mercer lumber yard near the Wabash track in Huntington Ind last night at 11 50 burned business and residence property valued at 40000 in what was the citys worst fire.
