John Durham Dies After Street Heart Attack
John Durham a long-time resident of the city died Tuesday evening after a heart trouble attack while walking on East Washington Street. He collapsed near M M Carriger’s residence, died shortly after, and an inquest found death from a blood clot in the ventricle. Born July 9 1844 in Clinton County Indiana he was 71. Surviving are his wife Hazelrigg Flora J Yount and children Maud Abbie Artie Lorenso, Paul H. Durham and two brothers, with funeral set for West South Street tomorrow morning.

Case Dismissed In Greenfield Divorce Suit
In Greenfield Indiana on September 9 the circuit court continued the action to annul Elma Dare Rhodius marriage to George Rhodius until next term due to the demands on John W. A fatal blaze at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill destroyed the men s and women s buildings. Thomas McHenry aged sixty five died in the flames. Injured include Mrs Hollis forty five the caretaker seriously burned after leaping from a second story window and Mrs Driscoll with leg injuries from a window as others were buried. The fire broke out with only employees present in the buildings.

Omer Petre Struck By Clover Leaf Train Near Michigantown
Omer Petre of Michigan Township was struck by Clover Leaf train No 4 while driving home with a horse and buggy near Brandon crossing west of Michigantown. He suffered serious back bruises and a badly bruised hip and was taken to Palmer Hospital in Frankfort, where doctors said his condition is critical. The incident occurred after his horse balked on the track as the westbound train approached rapidly. Petre, a local Hospital Corps member, was returning from a meeting and trip preparations for Ft. Benjamin Harrison. He was accompanied by Fred Reed.
