Mountain ablaze reports say the Famous old Lookout Inn on Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga burned late yesterday along with its contents. Owners Junig and Shammiotuiski had just completed a sale for 155 008 dollars. Only 26 000 dollars of insurance covered the hotel and furnishings. No casualties were reported. Four cottages and contents also burned with a loss around 19 000 dollars. The incline powerhouse suffered heavy damage and the bluff face fire raged for hours.

Lost his left arm in corn shredder accident
Noblesville Indiana reports Silas Myerly about sixty a resident of White River township was the first corn shredder accident victim in Hamilton county this fall. While shredding fodder on Park Starkey's farm near the county line his arm was caught in the machine and mashed to a jelly requiring amputation near the shoulder. Myerly owned the shredder and had run it for years. He is brother in law of ex commissioner Henry Carpenter.

Mrs Dunning Dies After Long Illness in Noblesville
Former Boone County resident Mrs. Dunning died after a lengthy illness. Stricken Monday at work the widow was carried to a chair, paralyzed on one side, and passed away with her husband by her side. She was born to the Hardy family, married Mr. Dunning in 1875 at Zionsville, lived in Benton county before moving to Noblesville twenty eight years ago. Charles is their only child.
