The High School Pennant notes progress in Lebanon city schools with new manual training and two mechanical drawing classes. Basements house well equipped shops with benches and common tools. Pupils learn squaring, lap joints, mortises, coat hangers, and progress toward wood turning and pattern making next year.
Police detain Bacon a well dressed 26 year old in Indianapolis pending extradition from Frankfort on forgery charges. Detectives say he issued notes to a writer firm to obtain payment for machines allegedly sold. signatures allegedly forged. He has a daughter and claims guilt.
The document cites eory Bonwell filing a complaint in the devil court requesting the expulsion of Cora Warren from Jana Girls School. It states the orphanage representative claims Cora Warren is incorrigible and a danger to the mother and others, with expressions of protest and seeking removal.
Isaac Powell a 50 year old Carmel Indiana man died suddenly in Indianapolis while visiting at 420 North Capitol avenue. An inquest by deputy coroner Dr Edwin La Knox cited heart trouble as the cause. Powell a former Hamilton county auditor retired in good health and was preparing breakfast when he collapsed. His body was moved to the City Morgue and then shipped home with undertaker arrangements to Carmel. Powell is survived by sons and a daughter with his son George Powell notified from Carmel.
The city of Indianapolis finally prevailed in a long running damage suit begun by Frank Keely after an incident near Atlas Engine Works in 1897. Keely sought $15,000, endured multiple trials and appeals, and was deemed insane in a prior guardianship action. The latest Hancock county ruling dismissed the claim, keeping the city victorious.
Columbus November 7. National Committeeman Harvey Garber and State Chairman W L Fintey asserted the entire State Democratic ticket won. They cited retorts received during the contest. Democrats said Judge Shauck and Price were defeated and Newman did not concede Thompson's win for Secretary of State.

Mrs Alonzo Custer died at three yesterday afternoon at her Darlington home from pulpionary apoplexy after about three weeks of illness. She leaves her husband and children, including an infant, with relatives noting her role as a devoted mother and caretaker.
