Thomas Kiser aged 65 of Ninevah Johnson county died at his home Thursday after a long illness with cancer. He was known in Boone county where he visited relatives. He was the last of thirteen children. his wife and daughter Mrs. Ethel Forsythe preceded him in death. He leaves many nieces and nephews in the area. Funeral arrangements not yet set.

Lebanon business groups join the Boy Scouts to clean and level the Main and West streets site delayed for a new post office. Starting Monday morning Scouts will hoe and rake, camp on the lot, and hold a weekend of activities ending with a mass meeting at the high school gym Friday night. Judge Frank Hutchinson and a Lebanon business Court of Honor will oversee merit badges and advancement.
