Henry Lafayette Wilson aged 68 died at Witham hospital after a two week illness of chronic interstitial nephritis. He was a longtime Lebanon banker, merchant, and church leader with deep county ties. Survived by widow Rosina Ottinger and several siblings, services planned at Central Christian church with private rites at his North West street home.

In Chicago on May 21 a Black person seized Telefio Urbus, age 6, from his mother in a crowded Halsted street scene. The abductor pushed the mother aside and jumped onto a street car as a general alarm went out from Chief Collins seeking the child. Police and detectives were dispatched in force to locate him.

Murray S. Reynolds of Zionsville was badly hurt when a Red Bull Bus tied to Logansport struck his Overland sedan on the old Muston hill south of Eagle Village on the Michigan road. A woman passenger in the bus was injured as the vehicle rolled onto its side. thirteen passengers including a baby were shaken. Sheriff Clinton Saunders said driver Ralph Randall, speeding on a down grade, lost control at the top of the hill where red signals warned motorists. Reynolds, driving toward Indianapolis, had started up the grade when the bus appeared. the sedan’s side was caved in and hurled off the road. Reynolds escaped with mystery. he was cut above the head and severely injured.
