The Wednesday night horsemanship instruction for Boy Scouts was held last night at Battery Armory. Each scout rode a horse and learned saddling and proper riding. The boys, beginners, hope to improve quickly over the summer.
The Free Cooking School at the Colonial Theatre ends Friday under Mrs. M. E. Forbes of Chicago. A White Elephant party invites attendees to bring a valued item. final prizes and the sale of a gas range, kitchen cabinet, and refrigerator will conclude the session.
Miss Merle Harvey of Lebanon Business and Professional Women's Club is nominated for first vice president of the Indiana Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs. The Evansville meeting May 17 and 18 will include hostesses from Evansville Woman's Rotary Club, a 200-member expected attendance, bus and boat outings, a luncheon, and a banquet with speaker Miss Mariam Ingham.

The state highway maintenance district will move its Lebanon operations to Frankfort as the commission extends control over a Clinton county road. In Rome on May 14 police raided two clandestine communist meetings, seized documents and pamphlets, and arrested twelve. Investigators disclosed plans of communist organizations.
Lieut Johnson and six Indianapolis police hunted three bandits across Hendricks county after they entered the Hazelwood bank. Miss Emma Leitzman escaped harm as a shot tore through her dress. bandits fled, leaving $5 behind. Milhon called the incident a warning to owners to prove ownership of the money.
R G Smith driving an Oldsmobile touring car was cited to appear in Squire R W Roberts court next Tuesday to answer speeding charges on the Indianapolis road.
Argentine aviator Major Petro Zauni aimed to cross the Pacific via Kuriles for a world flight. He departed Kobe to Kasumigaura Bay but returned after a local mishap that damaged his plane, deemed immaterial, with plans to resume from Kasumigara on May 20.

French troops under General Colombat pressed the Bibane front in Morocco on May 14, driving Riffians back to prepared lines and capturing Az dour. The action, supported by artillery and aircraft, sent scattered remnants toward higher ground as Lyautey reported severe Riffian losses and bunker-relieving garrisons at Bibane and Darremich.

Clifton Payton, a colored man, pleaded guilty and paid $50.60 fines in Justice of Peace R. W. Roberts court for speeding on the Indianapolis road and driving with last year's license. State Motor Police Frank McCormick made the arrest. The car was stored at Johnson Moore garage while Payton went to Indianapolis to obtain a proper plate.
Mrs Cora Morgan Williams will lecture on the Passion Play before Lebanon High School bill class Friday at 2 oclock in room 19 of the building.
