Preparations underway for Memorial Park’s formal debut on Sunday June 7 featuring a concert by the 139th Field Artillery Band directed by Warrant Officer James Hoy and Battery C maneuvers. Park facilities including playground equipment tennis courts and a baseball diamond will be ready with a refreshment stand, clean grounds, and planned park-drive improvements. William Bryan and his sisters, Fannie and Kate Bryan, were robbed at their Elizaville area home by a lone bandit at ten o clock last night. The intruder demanded cash, obtained $80 and some checks, then fled. Descriptions are vague beyond a masked cap and turned-up collar. No vehicle seen. sheriff notified this morning.
