A gang armed with shotguns raided Eaton state bank in Eaton Indiana at about 2 am. They shattered the vault with seven charges and wrecked the front of the building, firing at residents. Loot estimated between 2300 and 3000 dollars. Four to six men escaped by car. none injured. Town of 1200 without a night police presence.
