Gordon Kernodle aged 13 son of Mr and Mrs Ora Kernodle of 816 West Chicago street was knocked unconscious and bruised when struck by the fender of a car driven by Lowell Moore near the Junior high school this morning around eight. He revived in minutes and Dr William Spieth treated him at his office before taking him home. The lad suffered bruises to the chin chest and a sprained right ankle. authorities labeled the injuries not serious. The driver attempted to back into a driveway behind Meridian street when Kernodle, running to school, crossed the drive thinking the car would not turn in. The accident was described as unavoidable.

Mrs John W Ploughe of Clin ton county north of Sheridan died Wednesday morning after a long cancerous illness. She was 68.
