Indianapolis March 14 Sixty four high school basketball teams began today at eight regional centers on the second lap toward the state title. Winners advance to Indianapolis next Friday and Saturday for the final play. Regional centers include Anderson Frankfort Richmond Gary Kokomo Bloomington Evansville and Fort Wayne. Top contenders mentioned are Vincennes Martinsville Frankfort Shortridge Washington and Martinsville with several others viewed as possible finalists depending on regional outcomes.

Western Indiana Christian Conference Opens at Fairview
The twenty sixth annual session of the Western Indiana Christian Conference begins Tuesday at Fairview church seven miles northeast of Lebanon for a two day meeting. About thirty to forty churches are represented with six delegates each and some twenty pastors expected. The program lists morning sessions Tuesday with songs devotionals welcome address and several addresses before a closing election of officers on Wednesday. Delegates will be housed with local Christian members and transportation arranged by church automobiles.
