Plans for the annual Reporter cup golf tournament at Ulen Country Club on July Fourth are complete. The 36 hole event uses medal play with 18 holes in the forenoon and 18 in the afternoon. Play will start at 8 am with foursomes on three somes. The cup has a history since 1924 with Fred Siess winning first, then again in 1925. Fred Rhodes won in 1927 and last year with a total 170. Prizes include lowest nine and eighteen hole scores, most birdies and eagles, a hole in one cup, and fourteen other prizes for low eighteen hole scores. The ladies putting contest returns with nine hole qualifying rounds and eighteen hole semis and finals. last year’s finalists were Mrs Ona McCann and Miss Ruth Perkins.

Frankfort Indiana June 30 officials of the T H I E Traction company may test city ordinances limiting traction car speed to four miles an hour after a car ran through the public square at over fifteen miles an hour. Police Chief Haffner ordered names of the train crew to determine if the line ordered the violation or if the crew acted alone. Motorman Charles Powell and Conductor Abe Artman of Lebanon provided their names to the police.
