Mr and Mrs Paul Church welcome a daughter born this morning at Witham Hospital. The child named Barbara follows the Lebanon high involvement, with Mr Church described as a teacher.
Mrs Louise Witt a longtime Knightstown resident and former girls matron at the Sailors and Soldiers Orphans Home died early today from complications of diseases. Born in Lebanon she was daughter of William and Mary Jacks and widow of Oliver C Witt. Survived by brother Thomas Jacks of Lexington Kentucky. Funeral plans to be arranged in Knightstown with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Merle Smith a 38 year old Clover Leaf employee was killed when his Dodge sedan was struck on the Kgger street crossing by a southbound Monon train speeding to Frankfort station.
