Original choice for the government serum station was Boone county but a change may have been planned along the line. Montgomery county is said to have a bid and could land the station. A public spirited resident is pressing to secure the site for Boone county and others should help. Mrs Ed Witt returned from five weeks in Oklahoma and Wichita Kansas with a visit to Lebanon friends. Dr Shultz will remain longer.
George Wille has moved his rear restaurant into the former interurban station building two doors east of his previous location. The enlarged facilities service many customers with a lunch room and pasta offerings, reflecting a busier dining setup in the neighborhood.
Lebanon Rexalls prepare for a fast game against the Indianapolis Naps at the Lebanon ballpark with Cox Porter and Whitely added to the roster. Robison and Tomlinson will pitch, and Tomlinson is slated to catch with renewed support from local home- lineup.
William Byomens of Indianapolis and Pauley of Thorntown joined Civil War veterans leaving Indianapolis on special trains to Gettysburg Pa for the fiftieth anniversary celebration. Mr and Mrs Lester F Jones of this city also join Governor Ralstons party. The celebration begins July 1 with trains expected in Gettysburg around 2 59 Sunday afternoon.
The Appellate Court overruled a rehearing petition in Crawfordsville Trust Company et al v Iee H Ramsey, finalizing a long dispute from 1907. Mrs. Tee H Ramsey receives one third of her late husband Alexander F Ramsey’s personal estate, a third of the poor fund, and a third of the real estate, with the estate valued between $200,000 and $250,000.
Sunrise 4 18 Sunset 7 18 Fair tonight and Sunday not much change in temperature. Mrs L E Nelson and son Whitson of Dakersfield Cal arrived yesterday at Whitestown for an extended visit with relatives. Mr and Mrs Nelson have been visiting in Chicago. Mr Nelson is brother of Mrs H P New of East South Street. Mr and Mrs Ben F McKey accompanied by Mrs Harold Perkins and children of another city Cal are enroute to Lebanon.
Schuyler Lawrence age 23 Kimmel Umberthine age 21 and Lloyd Umberhine age 20 sons of Dr Umberhine Mechanicsburg drank lemonade from a galvanized pail. Acid ate zinc coating and caused zinc poisoning. All three were in critical condition but Friday evening were reported out of danger and resting well.
Friday night recital by Hirst Baptist cligse pupils featured Miss Edith Pulwider Lebanon and Maud Sheets Frankfort with vocal solos. Thelma Thrasher and Salena Graves Mon tivello played a violin duet and Thrasher offered violin and Verne Lowman accompanied vocal, plus baritone by Herschal Clay. Young Master Campbell Frankfort contributed a violin solo as Blanche Jackson Jackson was highly praised and called back for an encore.
Court notes report quiet title cases James Trew Aber Hixon Longley and Henry T Brown versus Ebenezer Williams with commissioners appointed and releases ordered. Anna Kendall versus Daniel Vo Booherv et al for drain shows commissioners' report approved with assessments confirmed and construction ordered. Everett Reveales named construction superintendent. Attorneys' fees listed. plaintiffs' attorneys to be paid.
Early Indiana effort to organize cow testing expands from Carmel to nearby towns including Northville Sheridan Westfield Greenfield and Lebanon. Purdue appointed Harvey Moredock to lead the program which aims to test 850 cows per unit, with each unit housing 100 to 150 cows and testers acting as dairy advisers to balance rations and evaluate feed and milk efficiency.
Defense witnesses testified Mick was of sound mind despite his unusual ideas and practices. The court ruled no undue influence proven and instructed the jury to return a verdict for the defense.
Burglars entered back porches of Frank Lafollette and J A Richey on West Main Street during the early hours. Refrigerators were rifled of eatables, suggesting the burglars were hungry. The Lafollette residence alerted a neighbor who phoned police. Night Watchman Beathan responded to the scene but the suspects had fled. Nearby residents Mary Hogshire and Marian Ritchie returned from Eaton, where they visited Marion Land.
