She had lived with her grandson James Kendall ten years and was born January 16 1870 in Hendricks county. She belonged to Whitestown Methodist churches. Surviving are four great grandchildren two brothers a daughter and a sister are deceased. Services Thursday 2 p.m. at Russell and Hitch funeral home with Rev Myron Morris officiating burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

In New York Harbor the luxury liner Excalibur, bound for the Mediterranean on a 43 day cruise, collided with a freighter and began sinking. All 113 passengers were evacuated within minutes as Coast Guard vessels and tugs aided. The Danish freighter Colombo caught fire after the crash near Lower Manhattan.

Eleven Injured When Bus And Auto Collide
Eleven persons were injured, one seriously, when a Gold Star bus and an automobile collided on U.S. 30, three miles west of Chicago Heights.
