Former resident dies in Langdon Kansas at 89
William F P Holmes, a former Boone county resident, died in Langdon Kansas yesterday of old age related diseases. Born January 29, 1834 he married Eliza Dinsmore. Survived by four sons in Langdon and Kewanna, Ind. Several sisters and brothers listed. He left Holmes Station area for Kansas in 1885 and served in Fortieth Indiana during the Civil War. Funeral plans unavailable.
