F D Stanley reports via Ed Burns that the Burns and Hancock brick yard in Montezuma was destroyed by fire Wednesday evening. The firm had 10 000 dollars in insurance on the buildings and 142 acres of fire clay used to manufacture ice brick. The plant will be rebuilt but season delays will handicap operations. Ed Burns, a professor and former Frank Art resident, is a brother of Mrs. Burns.

Haseal Fansler aged twenty from Kentucky was severely injured when Ed Hedrick fifty attacked him on Chadwick road two miles north of New Ross after a dispute over horses. Fansler was cut four times on the left side and jabbed in the arm with a pocket knife, then taken to Dr. Bronaugh for care. Authorities said injuries may not prove serious. witnesses said Fansler knocked Hedrick down before Hedrick drew the knife and attacked.

Thom A. Stultz, former resident of North Carolina born June 8, 1884, died Monday at his Maple Street home after a brief illness. Once in poor health requiring foot amputation, he recovered and lived a fairly healthy life. Son of Phillip and Catherine Stultz, he spent most of his life in Little Eagle area before moving to Zionsville. Neighbor and friends described him as upright and dependable.
