Financial Woes Hit July 4th Backers in Lebanon
The 4th of July Committee in Lebanon faces tighter finances as donations shrink and only about 2,200 in commitments remain for expenses. Weather willing, the parade could draw 1,700 in gate receipts, while a jet fly over may be replaced by a parachute jump at Lebanon Armory. Sam Oats, president, says the parade could be the largest yet, with two hours of units and 30 second spacing, despite funding gaps and ticket sales concerns for the Mrs. Boone County pageant tomorrow evening.
