Ex Lebanon Man Found Dead In Indianapolis Home
John E. Bond, 8412 Meadowlark Lane Indianapolis, a former Lebanon resident, was found dead at 2 a.m. from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. A .38 revolver lay near the body. He was the son of John E. Bond and Ruth Gilmore, with ties to Westfield and Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home in Lebanon. obituary to appear Monday in the Lebanon Reporter.

County Crashes Injure Pair Near Dover And Zionsville
A Florida woman suffered slight cuts when her car skidded off State Road 334 near Zionsville and crashed into a ditch. Mamie Musso Hall of Jacksonville, 39, was taken for treatment with knee and elbow injuries. Damage estimated at 600 dollars. No citations issued. Another crash near Dover on SR 32 involved Cornelia C Greiffendorf of Dayton, Ohio, whose car hit a culvert after pulling off to pass a haywagon. Damage about 450 dollars. she suffered minor bruises and abrasions. No citations issued. City police reported no accidents in past 24 hours.

Toll of weekend traffic deaths climbs in Indiana
United Press International reports Indiana's highway death toll rose to 11 in the first 12 hours of the 54 hour weekend as four fatal crashes marred a peak travel period. Victims include Harry Flagle of Walkerton and Wiley Montgomery of LaPorte, plus Indianapolis Star reporter Stephen Haynes and other drivers in multiple accidents across Hamilton, Pulaski, Huntington, and surrounding counties.

Rev Sam Young 22, recently ordained three months, was reported in serious condition at Robert Long Hospital Indianapolis after a flash fire at his grandfather's farm. He was treated at Withams Hospital, then transferred. A gas can near the scene prompted authorities to consider either arson or ignition by sun heat.
