City Council Reappoints School Board Member in Lebanon
The Lebanon City Council unanimously reappointed Lester F. Jones to a three year term on the city school board. Jones, president of the board, was first appointed in 1926 to succeed E. C. Gullion. Other members include Granville Wells and William H. Smith. The council also appointed Orville Quick as merchant policeman for night duty to support a new protective plan.

Whitestown woman attempts suicide by arsenic poisoning
Miss Gerrude Hager of Whitestown tried to kill herself Monday evening by swallowing arsenic after days of severe neck and head pains. She was found by her sister in her room and rushed to Witham hospital where her condition improved by today. She lives with her father T C Hager and sister Ruby Ostler.

Boulder Dam Pact Put Into Effect
