Three Knights of Pythias from Lebanon lodge No 45 and two lodge officers Rolla Bowen prelate Dwight Uhlen inner guard joined the U S regular army for service in Mexico. Bowen Uhler Pierce all reside west of town and enlisted after Lebanon lodge adopted a resolution to keep dues paid during military service making them the first to take advantage.
