Pittsburg June 20 Train No 23 known as the Cleveland Flyer wrecked near Menaca about ten miles west of here. Two killed and 40 injured. Deceased are J W Cunningham fireman and Larry Black baggage master of Pittsburg. Switch failure sent the train over a 25 foot embankment. Passengers aboard had largely escaped serious harm. Superintendent Yoke dispatched physicians and relief train to scene.

Funeral of Young Hay in Cleveland
On June 25 at 12 30 pm Adelbert Ayting who died after a fall from a third story window at a New Haven hotel was laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery Cleveland. Attending were Hon John Hay and Mrs Hay the dead man’s parents the Misses Hay his sisters and Clarence Hay a younger brother. The funeral party proceeded to the cemetery for interment.
