Second suspect in Boone burglary surrenders
Richard L. Evans, 19, of Indianapolis, surrendered to Boone authorities and was charged with first degree burglary, commission of felony while armed, and auto banditry after the Wednesday break in at George Gideon’s home five miles north of Lebanon on SR 39. Evans and John H. Bingham, 43, were linked to a theft ring and related burglaries across Boone and Hamilton counties.

Jury rial slated Monday in Ladoga theft case
Boone Superior Court will hear the theft trial of Ashton K. Bowman 31 on Monday at 9 a.m. Bowman is accused of stealing a toolbox and tools worth about 1700 from Edgar R. Land Jamestown Route 1. Bowman was arrested Aug 19 1975 and is free on bond. Forty prospective jurors have been issued summons and the trial is expected to last two days.
