Truck Driver Fined After Route 31 Collision

Carl Tee Terre Haute operator of a tour was fined nine dollars in Justice of the Peace court for reckless driving after a crash on Route 31 near Thorntown injured three Thorntowt men. The truck driven by Lee and a car driven by Sam Castile collided. Castile injured and hospitalized as Castile remained under treatment at Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis.

Relief Needs For Europe Reduced

Washington June 24 The Marshall Plan nations in Western Europe will receive 450 million dollars less than asked for July through September according to Richard M. Bissell Assistant Deputy Administrator of the Economic Cooperation Administration. The 16 nations estimated needs at 1.8 billion for the period after screening the request was cut to 1.35 billion. Bissell said most of the shipments in the next three months would include machinery and related goods amid wind and cold conditions.
