Washington June 23. Scrapping eight service codes by the recovery administration won t stop the NRA from requiring display of the blue eagle and adherence to wage and hour provisions of the old codes. Local compliance boards will police these provisions where requested by industry members. Local authorities are forming seven cleaning and dyeing, ten barber shop, and a New York City motor vehicle storage and parking authority. Barber and laundry trades are under re employment agreements pending executive order revision to cover wage and hour rules.

The D A R held a regular session at the G A R hall with reports from Munice state convention. Comrade John McKinley was admitted as depart ment commander and honored at the presidents station. Joint reception planned for June 26 at 2 p m in honor of McKinley, head of the Indiana Grand Army of the Republic selected on first ballot.
Indianapolis June 23 Mary Sims of Thorntown has enrolled for the 1984 summer term at the Arthur Jordan Conservatory of Music in Indianapolis. She aims for a bachelor of music with a major in public school music. The seven week term runs to August 4. The conservatory, affiliated with Butler University, offers instruction in all departments and attracts students statewide.

Plans for a rural church institute to be held at Mechanicsburg Christian church Wednesday June 27 were announced by Rev Ora McDaniel. The event under Indiana Christian Missionary Association and the state commission on rural churches will feature devotions by Rev Lee Tingley and Rev Thad S Tinsley with talks by Rev F C McCormick Rev G F Powell and Rev E C Cameron plus round table discussions and a noon dinner.
