Carl Hicks Dies in Indianapolis Former Lebanon Resident Dies at 40
Ward reports the death of Carl Hicks aged 40, once of Lebanon, now living in Indianapolis where he served as assistant manager of the John Deere Plow Company. He died after a long illness. Born in Boone County, he attended Lebanon schools and graduated from the local high school in 1904, a family note adds. He was survived by his wife, his father William Hicks of New Brunswick, and two brothers.

Legion to distribute soldier bonus blanks in Boone county

Applicants must prove honorable discharge, with June 6 issue of The American Legion Weekly guiding the required data. Twenty questions on forms demand accuracy for successful processing.
