Boys and Young Men's Choir elected at Presbyterian meeting
Franklin Beaven was chosen president of the Boys and Young Men's chair at the Presbyterian Church meeting held at Walter Oldendorf's home. Thomas Cory became vice president, Robert Rice secretary treasurer, with W. P. Oldendorf sponsor and Mrs. Lester F. Jones leader. The group adopted the creed by Edgar A. Guest and planned a July 6 picnic at Memorial Park.

Tribute to Clifton E. Peterson Honored on War Hero’s Anniversary
Memorial rites marked the anniversary of Clifton E. Peterson, Co. D 112th Infantry, 28th Division AEF. He fell August 9, 1918 near Fismes France. His parents Mr and Mrs J T Peterson of Kirklin and siblings mourn the loss as telegrams of his death reached home.

Funeral for Mrs Will F Tull Tomorrow
The body of Mrs. Will F Tull will be brought from Lafayette to be buried at Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held at the home of her daughter Mrs. Paul Sidwell in Lafayette tomorrow afternoon, then the body will be shipped to Lebanon arriving at 2 09 over the Big Four station. Friends are invited to meet the train.

Lightning Rods Installed on Traction Poles Between Indianapolis and Lafayette
The T H I E traction company completed a high tension line from Indianapolis to Lafayette with a lightning arresting system. Each pole carries a lightning rod and every fourth pole has an aerial ground wire. Officials say the setup should largely prevent lightning caused outages and pole damage, improving Lebanon and West Tenth Street plant power reliability.
