In response to resident appeals the Independent Chautauqua will be held in the Lebanon High School gym instead of Memorial Park. Organizers cite easier access and greater patronage potential. Ticket drive begins Monday with aim to sell at least 150 season passes priced 2.00 for adults and 1.00 for children.
The 14 month old daughter of Mr and Mrs Malcolm Starrett fell from an upstairs window at the George Starrett home near Boxley. The screen and loose frame allowed the fall but the child rose unassisted, scratched and bruised only, apparently amused by the incident. The screen may have prevented serious injury.

The Ford sedan of Miss FE M Reisner of Zionsville was stolen from the Circle at Indianapolis with doors and motor locked yet experts apparently took it. Another car was stolen at the same time from the same location. The Reisner car was insured.

Miss Mabel Martin presided as president and the club named delegates and alternates to the State and National meeting at West Baden July 21 to 26. Miss Burton, Chattanooga president, plans to attend and visit Lebanon. a reception will honor her. Hostesses Ada Bonwell and others will entertain at the next meeting on July 17.
The W. W. Stevens & Son Music Store on the east side of the square marks 84 years serving Lebanon and Boone County patrons with musical merchandise. A grand piano sale opens Saturday morning as prices feature pianos and other instruments. founded by W. W. Stevens in 1890, with his son E. Stevens now associated.
New London Conn June 20 Yale freshman crew rowed a swift steady stroke to thrash the two mile Thames course and defeat Harvard in the opening Yale Harvard regatta event. The varsity four mile race remains to be decided this afternoon.
Muncie Ind June 20 Campbell s auditorium burned here early today with a loss of 76000 dollars. The blaze was believed caused by a cigarette. The auditorium has hosted basketball tournaments and public gatherings in Muncie for many years.
