Former Booneite dies in Greencastle
News arrives of the death of Mrs. Harvey Runyan of Greencastle sister of J H Kirkpatrick of North East Street. She died Tuesday at 4 PM at her Greencastle home. Survived by a husband a week old baby and two step-children. Formerly Eva Hester of Jamestown she will be buried there after funeral services at Greencastle tomorrow at 9 AM. Mrs Kirkpatrick staying in Greencastle and Mr Kirkpatrick will attend the funeral.

Sheriff Lewis Buys Time with Wide Range of Removals
Sheriff D. N. Lewis has moved inmates across multiple facilities in the past three weeks. He transported one prisoner to Michigan City, one to Jeffersonville, made three trips to the state penal farm, and two to the Plainfield boys' industrial school. He returned yesterday with Clarence E. Roark from Sioux City who faces wife and child desertion charges. Garner will be taken to the Central Insane Hospital today. Tomorrow he plans to transfer Luther Sheets, jailed for intoxication, to the state penal farm.

Water Still Not Reached in Eight Inch Well at Plant
No water has been struck yet in the Interstate Public Service company plant on South Meridian street. The drillers have reached about 825 feet with the last hundred feet of white stone. The well is being sunk to meet the needs of the enlarged plant whose capacity is being doubled.
