Defense rested after cross examining W A Cowan of the Indianapolis Live Stock Journal and Printing Co. Witnesses testified on center scales at Union Stockyards, scale maintenance, and government weights. Cowan denied suppressing reports and said Shiel & Co sales were not market prices, while others noted Big sales rumors and partial publication.

Marriage and arrest reports mix in early Indiana item

Walter Hardesty a saloon keeper at 1 South Lebanon street was arrested for allowing a pool table in the liquor room and posted a $100 bond. Thorntown man is released on bond in a separate desertion case. A wedding between Mr Adney and Miss Richey is described with guests and post ceremony plans in Lebanon.

Picnic for Boone County folks to be held in Indianapolis

Report of Boone county reunion organizers planning a large event in Indianapolis with a Decided date to be set at next Wednesday night meeting. A violent incident followed involving Brune who attacked Newhouse with a brick. Brune was escorted by White Sox members and later jailed on a charge of assault with attempted murder. Newhouse remained unconscious but doctor says recovery possible.

Ida DeWitt sues Indianapolis Traction and Terminal Co for $10000 damages after injury when alighting a street car on Aug 10 1906, case moved here on change of venue.

Married Last Night Solomnized in City Church

The marriage of Roy W. Adney of this city and Verna Richey of Uniontown Pennsylvania was solemnized last night at 7:30 in the local church. The ceremony united the couple in a formal service attended by family and friends. Subsequent plans for residence and future events were not disclosed.

Berryhill's Newark Triumph Over Sharon Narrowly Won

Berryhill's Newark team beat Sharon 4 to 3 as Windy Morgan and Brown each had three hits in Decatur. Morgan's was a two-bagger. Hare Collins Wilson and Hicks added hits. Hawkins was credited with the loss in a game praised by the Decatur Democrat as the best of the season. Rain forced the second game to be postponed. Lebanon moved to Portland for games today and tomorrow.

Foundry Move Talks With Cincinnati Delegation

Mayor John N. Hoy and his son James traveled to Indianapolis and planned meetings with Cincinnati businessmen from a large foundry to discuss relocating the industry to Lebanon.

Boone county ex-residents plan annual picnic in city

A Boone county former residents committee met at the office of the state auditor to compile a list of locals likely to attend an upcoming Boone gathering. The preliminary session filled pages with names as members sought attendees and set plans for a future meeting to finalize a date and elect officers. Send names and addresses to D. H. Missionary Meeting at North Lebanon Street Hostess Home

The Womans' Home Missionary Society of the Methodist church held a profitable meeting at Mrs A J Shelby's home on North Lebanon street, moved from Mrs Mahan's due to sickness. Mrs Dr Mc Graw of Thorntown read a paper on The mite box as a value of little things, welcomed by all. Miss Pauley of Thorntown sang a solo, about a dozen Thorntown members attended, and a social hour followed with refreshments from hostesses Shelby Mahan Williams Shepard Adair.

In Frankfort Indiana on June 20 a minor injury occurred after a planned game between the Toomer Girls' ball club and the White Sox. Lavere Newhouse, 11, son of A. J. Newhouse, suffered a serious injury amid the unrest surrounding the event.

New Factory Secured by Lebanon Citizens

The Dairy Queen Manufacturing Company of Flora Indiana will move its factory to Lebanon after a committee from the Merchant's Association closed the option. The plant will employ about 100 men, start with 25 machines daily, and occupy a three story brick building of at least 15 000 square feet west of the Canning Factory on the Big Four railroad. The venture follows extensive consideration of other sites and promises to be a premier addition to Lebanon.
