Moore dies suddenly at home near Tava, 79

Wilford Moore, a county farmer and longtime church worker, died suddenly at his home four miles northeast of Tava at 11 15 this morning. He was 79. Survived by widow and several children including Margaret Updike and Edith Mel dianapolis, with grandchildren and a daughter Ethel who died in infancy.

Draft extension eyed to include nineteen year olds

A Honolulu cable signaled possible approval by congressional conferees of a draft extension bill that would permit drafting nineteen year olds while delaying induction of eighteen year olds at least until October. Rep. Walter G. May of Kentucky indicated he reluctantly endorsed the teen age compromise after proxies were shifted amid a House Senate conferee deadlock. Beef Cattle Subsidy Payments End June 30
