Boy Scouts Enjoy Outing at the Burg
Lebanon's troop of Boy Scouts gathered along Sugar Creek east of Mechanicsburg for an evening and overnight outing led by Scoutmaster Bayard Shumate. Twenty four scouts used their new camping gear to cook their own meals and prepare for the July encampment at Turkey Run with Mrs. Jeff Purcell of Rosston assisting.

James Thompson earns master’s from Oklahoma then heads to Yale
James Thompson, a 1916 Lebanon High School graduate and Wabash College alum, earned a master’s degree at the University of Oklahoma. He will supervise Zoology in summer, then go to Yale University in September to pursue a doctoral degree at Sheffield Scientific School, after a brief family visit in Lafayette Avenue.
