New Troopers Assigned To Boone County Is Forming
Indiana State Police assign Ernie Goff and Ed Strong to Boone County. Both have completed extensive training and are veterans of the Marine Corps. Goff, a Sullivan High School 1965 graduate, will reside with his wife Marcia and daughter Lisa. Strong, from Kentucky, graduated Patricksburg high school and serves with Esther. In South Bend Indiana authorities hunted a gunman who fled with $3,000 after using a woman, Mrs. Beryl Johnson, 44, as a hostage. He forced her to drive to the St Joseph Bank and Trust Co Town and Country branch drive in window and hand the teller a note. He then fled on foot a helicopter aided search followed with law enforcement.
