Lebanon high grads win Pitman Moore cancer study grants
Two Boone County youths, Mark Fraker and David Trisler, receive $2000 grants from the Boone County Cancer Society for cancer research during summer 1965. They are Lebanon High School graduates and Indiana University juniors. Research to be done in the Pathology Toxicology Building at 96th Street and Zionsville Road with Pitman Moore providing labs, equipment, supervision, and a $500 cash contribution.

Combs Site Is OK'd To Serve Atomic Center
The Lebanon Chamber of Commerce Industrial Committee backed the Combs landing field south of Lebanon as the future City County Airport site. The plan ties to Indiana landing a proposed Atomic Accelerator Plant at Eagle Valley and gains support from State Senator Keith C. McCormick and Cleo Smith. A special meeting with Aeronautical committee and County Commissioners with Mayor Herb Ransdell was planned to finalize views on airport expansion. The site was chosen from six options, with potential land north of Combsfield for extension and industrial growth.
