Walter Lane's Body Recovered From Norfolk River
Walter William Lane, former Lebanon resident, drowned after an oar fell overboard during a fishing trip on the Elizabeth River at Norfolk Virginia. He jumped in to retrieve it and was pulled under by a strong current. His body was recovered and will be sent to Chicago for burial. He is survived by his wife Delores and parents in Mount Olive, and is a nephew of Louise Pavey and Carl Pankenon.
