John Shafer of a farm two miles south of Darlington was found dead in bed Tuesday morning after his wife gave medicine at 2 a.m. The death, due to heart disease after illness all winter, leaves a widow Mrs Anne Rove Shafer and children including Teddy Shafer of Denver.
