Arthur Gourdin a Rowlington shoemaker shot and fatally wounded Thomas Murphy and then stabbed his wife to death at six oclock. The dead woman leaves four small children. Gourdin was arrested and jailed at LaGrange after the deadly incident near Pewee Valley.
