Judge Orders New Union Election for Tony Boyle

Penn Central Railroad filed in Federal Court seeking permission to abandon about 2000 miles of track across 11 states and two Canadian provinces. Trustees say 39 of 138 segments no longer carry revenue traffic, totaling 209 miles, and continue operation cannot be justified by sound business practices or public necessity. A hearing was set for Sept. 11 by Judge John P. Fullam.

Perry Worth down four. Stokes down 14. Survey had 1,668 houses with 58 percent response. Transfers within the district require mid August applications and a one year stay at the new school.
