Cyclist Hurt In Auto Crash Near Lebanon
Rensselaer woman Ruby Padgett 50 was cited for failing to yield as her car pulled from Country Kitchens in front of a southbound motorcycle driven by James Kampert 21. Kampert suffered shoulder and knee lacerations and a possible broken leg, was thrown from the bike, and taken to Witham Memorial Hospital. Auto damage estimated at 350 and motorcycle 400. Youth Injured In .22 Rifle Accident Near Mechanicsburg
A 19 year old Mechanicsburg youth was wounded about 3 45 p m when a .22 rifle discharged while he set it down at his parents home on State Road 39 north. The bullet struck his abdomen but did not injure major organs. He was taken to Witham Hospital by a brother in law Rev Daniel Hall. The injured youth works at Country Kitchen service station.
