Youthful pageants at Lebanon’s Methodist and Presbyterian churches drew large crowds on Sunday. At the Methodist Church over a hundred children presented the Columbia pageant with Mary Rosalin Parr as Columbia and Miss Marian Rogers singing. The Presbyterian service featured the pageant Their Angels with a decorative garden setting and canary songs, directed by Mrs. Sterling and others.

Dekreon Family Car Crash Near Hazel Grove
Five members of the Dekreon family in a Dodge touring car skidded on fresh gravel north of Hazel Grove Crawfordsville road. The vehicle plunged a guy wire, crashed into a telephone pole, and injured Mrs Marge Dekreon and Treca Dekreon, 21, both seriously. They were rushed to Williams Hospital in Bratton Brothers by ambulance. Mrs Dekreon suffered a severe ear to chin cut, Treca had head injuries. The son Sam Dekreon drove the car en route from Illinois to wait. The crash tore the car top and left occupants with minor and serious injuries.

Sheriff Joe Cain returned Danville with prisoner Leo V Kane who was lodged in Boone county jail. Kane allegedly conspired with J H Sample to obtain two autos for 2370 dollars through a bad check drawn on Farmers State Bank and routed via Inter State Transit V Kane. Kane fled to Lebanon, then was tracked by Danville officials and arrested. no such Transit company exists and local men identified the scam as a local crime.
