The Crawfordsville High School senior class staged The Lady of Gray Gables at the Grand with professional polish. Katherine Brown directed and produced the four act comedy set in Gray Gables near the Scottish border, drawing enthusiastic praise from Miss Jance Skinner of Chicago and an ovation for lead cast members John Barnhill Ronald McDonald Maud Barton and Carl Crane. The production, aided by Nelson Vance Winnie Austin and a capable chorus, impressed despite a smaller audience, with strong acting, clever staging, and period costumes enhancing the drama.
