The Boone County 4-H Club hosts an annual barbecue at the County 4-H Community Building on Thursday evening June 30. Barbecued pork and chicken will be served from 5 00 to 8 00 p.m. Tickets are sold through township committees and 4-H leaders at Akerman's Drug Store E & W Star Pharmacy and the County Extension Office. Cliff Weddle chairs the County 4-H Community Council and is the barbecue general chair.

Traffic Deaths Rise to 657 in Indiana This Year
United Press International reports Indiana's 1966 traffic fatalities reached at least 657, up from 601 last year, with multiple collisions causing deaths in Grant, Elkhart, and nearby counties. Names and ages include Sara Smith 21, Marion. Susan Dennison 22, Marion. truckdriver William Shoemaker 51, Dearborn Heights. Additional fatalities occurred on Indiana 19 near Wakarusa and at Indiana 13 and 120. Riottorn area sees mass police action as violence ends
In Chicago, hundreds of riot-helmeted officers patrolled the northwest Riottorn division for a third night of unrest. Thirty arrests were made late Tuesday, bringing the three day total to 123 as 10 people were shot and 19 injured. One officer injured by a rock. School Bus Crash Suits Seek 40000 in damages
Damage suits totaling more than 40000 were filed against Pennsylvania truck driver Oliver Pottinger and Victor Transit Lines after his vehicle rear ended a loaded school bus in Boone County on December 15 1964. The action seeks 20000 for Leslie Wilkins 3000 for Jane Ann Maze 6000 for James R Maze and 12000 for Sandra Rowland. The bus overturned and over 10 children were treated at Witham Hospital. Killed by Auto in Galveston Parking Lot
Wilbur J. Roach, 50, of Galveston, was killed when struck by a car in the parking lot of Johnson's Tavern in Galveston. He had been in the tavern about 45 minutes earlier. Mrs. Virginia Smith of Logansport backed the car and hit Roach, who lay behind it. he suffered a crushed chest and neck fractures. Authorities note the death occurred on private property, not a traffic fatality.

INDIANAPOLIS UP I Three children became orphans after their parents were shot in a murder death by own action. Wayne Matillo 36 an airlines mechanic died at home Beverly 29 shot in the head died later. The divorce decree to become final next Monday. The oldest son 6 said he heard two shots and found the bodies. The couple argued in a bedroom while the children played in the living room. The three children are Joseph 6 Jay 4 and Jill 1. The Matillos lived with her parents Mr and Mrs Howard Rasener.
