Three Young People Groups End Their District Sessions
Boone county hosted three district meetings of young people groups this week ending the thirty-seventh annual Y P C U convention and the seventh annual Sabbath school congress of the Indiana Northern Presbyterian, held jointly at Salem Mud Creek United Presbyterian Church with about 400 attendees. New presbyterial officers were elected led by Miss Freda Crowell and others. next gathering scheduled for Idaville in June. Churches represented included Idaville Mount Pleasant Bethel Salem Mud Creek. The medley featured pastor Rev Ferguson and guest Rev G R Rawson, with theme Responsibility and talk of a Presbyterial paper. The Young People’s Congress at Old Union elected new officers and held an oratorical contest awarding a Defiance College scholarship, with the next meeting at Liberty Church, Crawfordsville. Some program items were adjusted due to illness of speakers. The Wingate church led attendance at the Merom summer school.

Charges follow road No. 39 row in State Court cases
Prosecuting Attorney John A. Sunderland filed charges in two Boone County courts after an accident on State Road 39. James Rigsby faces failure to stop after an accident in Boone Circuit Court affidavit. Dewey Weaver and John Doe are charged with assault and battery in Squire Connor's Court affidavits.
