A new air tight recognizance bond for prisoners appears in City Court Boone Circuit Court and Justice of Peace Courts under a 1927 law. The form targets eliminating professional bondsmen and curbing easy releases. Forfeiture can occur by judge declaration with mailed notice to the surety. no suits or venue changes needed. Sureties must list property and other bonds, each surety worth twice the bond. Perjury penalties apply for false statements. Sheriff liability exists if executions on forfeited bonds are not levied.

Parade Honors Veterans in Gary Indiana Encampment
Gary Indiana June 15 A dress parade for about 3000 veterans of 1861 65 and the G A R and auxiliaries draws nearly 10000 people as part of the forty eighth annual state encampment. Gary schoolchildren receive medals from the American Legion after the parade and tonight the encampment closes with campfire services in the 119th Engineers Armory guided by Governor Ed Jackson and featuring a public reception with about 5000 attendees.

Coolidge Is Given Hoosier Greeting in Indiana
President Coolidge spoke at a Flag Day address in Wicker Park Hammond Indiana to honor war heroes. Thousands filled the park and lined a 12 mile parade route as the presidential party traveled to and from the park.
