Boone County to honor oldest residents at floral parade
Boone county court house dedication committee will ditch electing a queen for the Floral parade on July 4. Instead it will honor the oldest man and oldest woman in the county by seating them in the fraternity automobile, seeking names and ages of long time residents. Isaac Belles of Thorn Town, 97, arrived in 1855, and Mrs. Sarah McCann north of town will be 92 in September. Mary Longley Rodman, wife of Capt P Rodman, also ranks as one of Lebanon’s oldest residents, tracing back to early settlers A H Longley and others who came here in the 1850s.

Fannie Culver Dies After Auto Crash Injuries
Mrs. Fannie E. Culver died this morning near Thormown following injuries from an automobile accident on November 6, 1910. Her husband, Mr. Culver, was also injured in the buggy ride. The couple had sued Samuel C. Graybill for damages totaling 10 000. Mrs. Culver’s case recently went to trial with the jury deadlocked. A second trial was scheduled for October. Funeral arrangements to be announced.
